Blue Ice is a collection of short stories, each of which has something to do with hockey. One follows the struggles of an on-ice enforcer; another (the title story) tells of a lovesick goalie whose infatuation starts to affect his game. I won’t sum them all up for you, though. Perhaps I’ll post one of the stories here when we get closer to the release date.
Roy MacGregor, one of my favourite hockey writers, kindly penned an endorsement: “Frank Ewert not only has a fine feel for the game and its wacky characters, he has a nice, laid-back storytelling style with a sense of humour.”
So, tell your friends: Blue Ice will be available this Spring through various online stores (including Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com), and perhaps elsewhere. We’ll see what happens.
